    Special Film Screening: Twilight

    Doors/Bar @ 6PM, Movie @ 7PM

    Join us for a special screening of Twilight! Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson star in this wonderfully heightened melodrama about the existential dilemma a young woman faces when she finds out the person she is falling in love with is a vampire.

    Trick-or-treat with Murdale Merchants and enjoy a day filled with bounce houses, hayrides, games, bison burgers, snow cones, and more! The Howl-o-Ween fun begins at 10:00AM and goes until 2:00 PM in the parking lot of the Murdale Shopping Center. Friends of Carbondale Community Dog Parks is working with Murdale to host a Pet Parade, Canine Costume Contest! Pooch Pictures! Treats Trinkets and More!

    October 26th 12pm-2pm Carbondale’s downtown businesses will have sweet treats to hand out, and spooktacular activities to get involved in! All ghouls and goblins are welcome to walk around downtown and fill their treat bags. Start at Carbondale Main Street at 121 S.     The Great Carbondale Pumpkin Race

    Registration: 1pm – 1:45pm, Event: 2pm

    The Great Carbondale Pumpkin Race is a lively and family-friendly annual event where creativity, competition, and community spirit come together. Participants design and race their own "pumpkin racers," which are pumpkins mounted on wheels. Held in downtown Carbondale under the Mill Street underpass, this fun-filled event brings together people of all ages to celebrate the fall season with exciting races, food vendor, and a costume parade. This year’s race beneficiaries are the Science Center and Read SI.

    The Great Southern Illinois Pumpkin Smash

    12:00 PM - 3:00 PM

    The Pumpkin Smash is a communities' effort to divert pumpkins from landfills by providing locations for residents to drop-off jack-o-lanterns to be composted. It is typically held each year the Saturday after Halloween. Don’t Trash it, Smash it!
